On July 31, 2026, organic agriculture advocates, government representatives, farmers, businesses, and development partners gathered at Conrad Manila for European Organic Day Philippines 2026, under the theme “From Pioneer to Mainstream: Creating Organic Pathways and Partnerships for the Philippines.”

The event highlighted an important challenge for the organic sector: moving organic agriculture beyond advocacy and into the everyday choices of more Filipino consumers. Discussions focused on strengthening partnerships, supporting farmers, improving consumer awareness, and creating viable markets for organic products.

Seven Days of Greens co-founder Roel Chan participated as a panelist representing the Department of Agriculture–National Organic Agriculture Program (DA-NOAP), in his capacity as an adviser to the program.

For Seven Days of Greens, being part of the conversation reflects an advocacy we have pursued through our own farm-to-market journey. We believe that supporting organic and sustainable agriculture means not only helping farmers produce better food, but also creating stronger connections between farms, markets, businesses, and consumers.

European Organic Day was also an opportunity to learn from fellow advocates and exchange ideas on how the Philippines can develop an organic ecosystem suited to our own farmers, communities, and consumers.

We are grateful to have been part of this wider community working toward the same goal: making responsibly produced food more accessible, sustainable, and meaningful for both farmers and consumers.

For Seven Days of Greens, it is another small step in a journey we remain committed to.
